1835
Quarter Eagle. With 131,402, the 1835
Classic Quarter Eagle has the 3rd highest mintage of the
Classic Head series. However, the date has relatively low
population numbers. It is surmised that the population figures
include some 1834 coins. PCGS has certified 165, and NGC has
291. The highest grade for both services is MS65. While the
proof mintage is unknown, only 4 pieces have survived. PCGS
and NGC each have certified 1 proof specimen.
