1797 Quarter Eagle - 1797 $2.50, BD-1, R6, NGC VF35, CAC This lightly circulated quarter eagle comes with the provenance of the Ylang Ylang Collection. We see Libertys hair well outlined with detail in the highest parts. The lines of the drapery are full. On the reverse the motto, E PLURIBUS UNUM is strong as are the upper part of the shield, the eagles wings, the stars, the clouds, and STATES OF.

The coin shows a die crack from near the rim above the Y in LIBERTY to Stars 12 and 13. The CAC sticker tells us that the coin is of premium quality and fully merits the assigned grade. In its population report, as of May 2014, CAC shows the present coin confirmed at the VF35 grade level.
