1861 Type 2 Quarter Eagle NGC AU58 CAC. The new reverse, with small arrowheads and letters than on the type 1 reverse. First year of the Civil War Date quarter eagles, with a large mintage of 1,283,788 coins struck for circulation.

Boldly struck, some small rub is noted on the highest points. Sharply struck, the coin displays a lovely light yellow hue. A considerable amount of satiny luster shows on both sides. An affordable and beautiful Civil-War quarter eagle gold coin!
