1896 Morgan Silver Dollar (1896 Morgan $1) NGC MS64. This lustrous, essentially white 1896 Morgan Dollar has a few abrasions on each side that keep it from a higher mint state grade. The coin is well struck on both sides so all of the details are easily observed. The 1896 dollar is a common date. The original mintage was 9,967,000. Over 16,000 were found in the Redfield hoard, most of them in mint state and many proof-like.
This piece would make a good choice for a type set of United States coins or a type set of dollars.
