Here is a 1907 High Relief, Wire Rim double eagle that is just a touch of wear away from an Uncirculated grade. The obverse high points, including Libertys left knee, are sharp. A few abrasion marks, in keeping with the grade, are present on both sides of the coin. The surface, which is a delicate matte texture, is grainy and shows original mint luster. The strike is strong with full details on the Capitol building at the lower left and most of the eagles feathers. The lovely light and dark yellow-gold colors show the coins originality. The CAC sticker tells us that the piece is one of premium quality that fully merits the grade assigned.
