1975 MW Poland 100Z, Jan Paderewski, NGC PF67 UCAM, KM # Y77. This exceptional 1975 100Z Ultra Cameo silver proof coin commemorates the Polish composer Jan Paderewski. The coin has essentially white frosted devices against black, mirrored fields. The strike is strong with full details on both sides of the coin. There are no visible hairlines or contact marks, as expected for a piece of this grade.
The coin shows a close profile of Paderewski facing left. To the left are his dates, 1860 to 1941. Below and to the right is his full name, Ignacy Jan Paderewski. The reverse shows an Imperial eagle separating the date. The inscription POLSKA PZECZPOSPOLITA LUDOWA, or The Peoples Republic of Poland surrounds with the denomination below.
Paderewski was a pianist, composer, and a politician who became a spokesman for Polish nationalism. He used his musical fame to open access to diplomats and the media. He became the prime minister and the foreign minister of Poland. In 1919 he represented Poland at the Paris Peace Conference.
