1986 France S100F Statue Liberty, NGC PF69 UCAM - 1986 France Silver 100 Francs, KM-960a. A couple of microscopic tick away from perfection is this PF69 Ultra Cameo 1986 French commemorative 100 francs piece. Frosted devices are contrasted with black mirrored fields to create the cameo effect. The surfaces are extremely clean with no hairlines visible even with magnification. Of course, the coin is fully struck and absolutely lovely.
Designed to commemorate the centennial of the Statue of Liberty, the coin shows a close-up view of the front of the statue with eleven birds flying between the rays of her crown. The dates 1886 1986 are written in two lines in the right obverse field. Below a horizontal line is REPUBLIC FRANCAISE in two lines with a line in between. The reverse shows a liberty cap on a tree of liberty with the motto LIBERTE, EGALITE, FRATERNITE with the denomination and date below.
