A few microscopic marks in the fields keep it from a higher proof grade. The strike is full and sharp on both sides, as expected for a modern proof coin. The obverse shows a portrait of a young Queen Elizabeth II facing right with the date to the lower right. The reverse shows an above view of a tiger running south with HONG KONG above and the denomination below.
