Gold Dollar - The 1855-O Gold Dollar is the most common
Type 2 Gold Dollar from a branch mint with 55,000 manufactured.
While coins from clashed dies are common for this issue, it
is usually better struck for a branch mint coin of this era.
None have been certified above MS64 by either of the major
grading services.
The Point No Point Treaty
was signed in Washington Territory. In this treaty three Indian
tribes of the area ceded ownership of their land in exchange
for small reservations and a payment of $60,000 from the government.
The Indians were required to free their slaves and agree not
to acquire new ones.
