April 17th 2025 - TRIO OF RARE AMERICAN GOLD COINS

I hope all is well. Every now and then we find moles in the newsletter and for the past several weeks 2 retail coin dealers were banished to bogeyland for signing up to the offerings as collectors but were quickly recognized as retail coin dealers on one hand and a retail coin salesman on the other. Have they nothing better to do would be my question. This newsletter and my services while certainly available to dealers is directed more toward collectors and those who invest in rare coins.
This week I decided to simply offer 3 phenomenal rarities in US Gold, starting with a very cool early 1798 $5.00 Half Eagle, then over to a pair of very rare and very desirable gold double eagles, one of which is an uber rare overdate while the other is a very rare and desirable Civil War dated gold coin minted in San Francisco. On the earlies which has been my wheelhouse for almost 4 decades, the 1798 $5 could be a single early gold coin in your collector or investment portfolio or she could form the start of a type set of early gold, in this case a Heraldic Eagle type of which there's 3 different denominations for a type set in the 1790's. The pair of really great double eagles you see, could be a single investment or part of a Civil War collection of US gold or even part of a type set of double eagles. Either way these are rare coins that do not appear very often and seasoned collectors will notice that straight away
