I hope all is well. I think most everybody will agree that this past weeks Central States Show was the best Central States in over a decade, maybe 2 decades! There is no doubt about it, collectors and investors are buying, selling and trading rare coins with the type of ferocity we have not seen in many years. And we have had some very good years but nothing compares to what went on at Central States. If you don't have a plan, a goal in place, I know I must sound like a broken record by now but please give this some consideration as soon as you can. If you are building a house, you have a plan, drawings, and step by step that house gets built , you move in with the Family and life is great. Please think about your collection similar to building a house. Have a plan, a goal, and then step by step take the necessary actions to accomplish the mission. This weeks hand picked offerings begin with Gem Proof "Black" 1890 Morgan Dollar in Proof 66 you can spend years trying to find to a great run of American Gold starting with a very choice uncirculated 1890-CC half eagle in PCGS MS-63, followed by a scarce 1862-S Civil War date in very choice about uncirculated condition with a cac sticker and a pcgs plus sign to a rare and uncirculated 1874-CC Double Eagle that is quite difficult to find in any market, to a choice uncirculated 1878-S Double Eagle struck the same year that greenbacks issued to finance the Civil War were finally redeemable in gold, to rare 1892-CC Double Eagle in superior condition of PCGS MS-62 CAC ( cac pop only 12/4 ), next up an unbelievable near gem uncirculated 1774 Bolivia 8 Reales struck just 2 years before the American Revolution and lastly a very neat 1693 France Gold LD'OR in Choice about uncirculated at a value that US Early half eagles were priced at many years ago.
