January 16th 2025-Rare Coins and Rarities Post FUN

Hello All

I hope all is well. The FUN show was quite business which indicates a good year ahead for those of us engaged in the coin business and those of us who have hard earned monies in our coin collections and rare coin investments. We have not yet published the all new inventory list showing all the newps but will do so most likely by the weekend so please stop back and visit us again. If you already have a want list with us or request for newps list you will be notified automatically.

Just because we have not yet published all the newps from FUN here does not mean we don't have any! We have a lot to offer and if you take the time to research our list online, or better yet send me your "want list", I think you'll be pleasantly rewarded. Choose the coin or coins that you would really like to own but have found it more than a challenge to locate them. I'm well known for producing rarities that never see a coin show or auction but come internally from decades in the business.

This week please note some of the neat and rare coins I thought merit being imaged on the newsletter:

And a list of other important Newps highlights not yet imaged

  • Nero Aureus NGC XF 5/5 4/5, Fine Style

As usual please send me an email to hold any coins you would like to either purchase or do further reasearch.

When you see a rare coin of interest, please click to request images and to temporarily reserve the coin, giving yourself a little time to review the images that we'll send you and communicating with us that you would like us to hold the coin while you do your research.

Please also note that these are just some selections from the vast inventory of really great rare coins we have to offer. If you do not see what you are looking for on our website, send us an email or give us a call, because if it's a really rare coin, chances are we have a lead on one for you or have it in the safe!

Please contact me as soon as possible, as this is a very healthy rare coin market.

Don't hesitate to share your Want List items; we are adept at filling them, and we're discreet.

We wish you and your family continued health & prosperity.

Happy Collecting and Happy Thanksgiving!

1837 Feuchtwanger NY 3 Cent Silver NGC XF45 CAC

1837 Feuchtwanger NY 3 Cent Silver-NGC XF45 CAC, a glorious early American experiment of sorts. Lewis Feuchtwanger produced a metal that was actually a variety of German silver which contained nickel, copper and some zinc. He suggested to Congress that these be substituted for copper and he made 1 cent and 3 cent pieces that circulated during the coin shortages of 1836 thru 1844. An early American rarity. Beautiful original surfaces on this rarity of hundreds of years. Check your red book! Quite a find with a cac sticker !

$3,250

Washington Lib & Security Penny P62 CAC

1476-1516 Ferdinand & Isabel 4 Escudo Gold-NGC AU-53-Segovia Mint-Condition Census

1476-1516 Ferdinand & Isabel 4 Escudo Gold-NGC AU-53-Segovia Mint-Condition Census Rarity-The nicest Ferdinand and Isabel 4 Escudo's we've had in quite some time. Without them there might not be a Columbus and without Columbus who knows what America might be called as these are the folks and the gold that financed Columbus. This is numismatic treasure of the highest importance and rare in all grades, especially rare in high grades such as this very choice about uncirculated specimen. Many if not most of these coins do not have the sharpness of strike particularly on Ferdinand and Isabel. On this specimen they are well above the norm, please put a glass to this coin and examine closely. This is a Condition Census specimen. This is the ONLY AU-53 graded by NGC and there is only 2 higher, one in AU-55 and pcgs graded an MS62 coin.
