I hope all is well. Something a little different this week. Something neat and something spectacular to offer. This week we must break our offerings up into 2 parts with the first part shown below, a truly exceptional "set" or mini set of Carson City Gold Eagles dated 1880-CC-1884-CC. Tomorrow night or our usual night for sending rare coin offerings will be a spectacular ALL CAC collection of offerings ranging from a Civil War Half Dollar thru US Gold coins, ALL with CAC stickers. Tonight though Carson City is in the spotlight.
This is a truly set difficult to achieve and never seen Mini Set of Early Carson City Eagles, 1880-1884-CC ALL in NGC AU-58. To be sold as a 5 coin set set.
Populations for these gold eagles from America's wild west are as follows:1880-CC/43, 1881-CC /89, 1882-CC /33, 1883-CC/24, 1884-CC/43
This is a tough set to assemble all in grade and would possibly take years to even find matching specimens much less be savvy enough to own the set.
Perfect to put away for investment, collection, inheritance, education etc. In all the years I've been in business I've never had a set to offer like this and may never see another. $76,500.00 for the set!
