MARCH 4TH, 2026 - GOLD UNITED STATES COINS OFFERINGS

Hello All,

I hope all is well. We are back to the 80's here in Southwest Fla, in terms of temperatures at least that's what it was at the time of this writing. No slush, no ice, no pizza but we've got 80+ degrees to endure. We are also a week from Baltimore and the market now with tomahawks over Iran taking place it should be quite interesting to see panic in the precious metals and how that effects numismatics. Methinks we have a longer term bull in front of us in the rare coin market. If you do not have a plan in place at least for the core of your collection please consider focusing on developing one soon. It's a great market and it makes all the sense in the world to be organized for it.

This weeks hand picked offerings begin with a tougher than Tyson 1804 Quarter Eagle in choice extremely fine for under 20K ( ! ), to a Classic 1835 half eagle very choice uncirculated with a NGC Plus Holder, next up a very rare proof 1873 Closed 3 half eagle in proof 58 population 1 with a total "mintage" of a mere 25 coins in all, next a gem 1880S $5 in MS-65 you'll need shades if viewing under the lights, for eagles a very rare and early coronet 1840 in uncirculated MS-60, to first year of $20 type and ex Fairmont collection 1866-S Motto MS-61 followed by an interesting and excellent priced 1876-CC Double Eagle and lastly from across the pond a Specimen 62 Great Britain Gold Coronation Medal
