October 9, 2024 - 1890 Gold Double Eagle-Hurricane Milton

I hope all is well. In my neck of the woods everyone is having their hurricane shutters installed and bracing for what could become a category 5, yes possible a cat 5 hurricane named Milton which is barreling it's way toward Florida as I type. This has limited my time to show some of the newps in this weeks newsletter, I hope you will all understand. We won't know, really know until it hits where exactly it will hit. When Hurricane Charley came rolling thu with 180+ mph winds wiping out most of Charlotte Cnty, the storm was originally supposed to head to Tampa but at the last 2 hours turned right into Charlotte Harbor and my house was right in the center of the worst of it.
Had the cats and me hiding out in the walk in closet in the bedroom as there was no time for hurricane shutters! All I heard were things hitting the house like artilery and when it finally stopped and I opened the closet door there was wind rushing thru my home! I also had four 100+ year old Southern Heritage Oak trees, massive trees in the front which took the punch from Hurricane Charley and while I lost the roof, the rest of the house was more or less intact whereas some neighbors houses looked like a nuclear bomb hit them, I still have 2 of those trees.......
