September 5th, 2024-15 Outstanding Gold and Silver Rarities

Hello All

I hope all is well. This week features 15 outstanding recent acquisitions across a wide price spectrum ranging from a little over a thousand dollars to quite a bit more than that. What you'll notice is most of these offerings are rare gold and silver coins that are among the scarce to rare dates within a series and not is generally thought to be a key date. Key dates in general are not tough to acquire and as such unless there's something truly special about one, I generally don't chase them. But show me a rarity in the series and my heart starts to palpitate.

If one were to go back in time, decades, one would find this has been a mainstay of inventory that Tom and US Rare Coin Investments has focused on for decades. With few exceptions which can easily be counted on 2 hands, few coin dealers have consistently offered this type of material. What else would explain Tom\s foresight for example to go after early US gold, specifically in this case, early eagles, the more common ones if there is such a thing, 1797 large eagle eagles 1799 eagles when they were 5K each in choice about uncirculated, in a few cases a bit below 5k while now these very same coins are over 20k and some of them have sold for 30k. When I was acquiring them I could find NOBODY else in the business or hobby that was doing the same.

I feel similarly as strongly about many of the better date US gold, certain errors, patterns/prototypes, varietal rarities within other series no room to talk about in this newsletter but in general if you see it in my inventory it's usually because it's a good deal and thought to be a good deal for the future too as if a piece of inventory does not sell quickly it's always nice to see a little appreciation and therefore price changes along the way as we are also a very market driven company. Here's this weeks partial list with images and listings just scroll down or click on any individual link:

Again this week felt it appropriate to add some of the more affordable but scarce to rare coins to this weeks offerings, please see the list and/or scroll down to see images you can click on to enlarge. Again however may I please stress the importance of communicating what interests you so that I can then help you with the purchase of the kind of coins you want, or help with selling the coins you which to liquidate for whatever reason. This is a good time to leave the dugout and take the field!

Please take a look at the preliminary descriptions on the listings and follow up with more in-depth research prior to adding to your collection and/or portfolio. Please bear in mind that there are active buyers who subscribe to our list so if you see something you've waited for for a while, it would be my suggestion to begin the inquiries as soon as possible as at that point I can mark "hold" on that specific coin which will allow you more time to do what you have to do in order to pursue the specimen.

These are the type of coins you would like to have in your retirement portfolio yes? Tom has been in the business for 40+ years and would be delighted in helping you find specimens from this famous mint, beit be individual coins as gifts to leave behind or in developing a collection of coins for investing and collecting purposes. United States Gold Coins are collected and invested in world wide hence the huge base of interested collectors and investors search for these coins for collecting, long term capital appreciation and as a legacy for their children and grandchildren.

When you see a rare coin of interest, please click to request images and to temporarily reserve the coin, giving yourself a little time to review the images that we'll send you and communicating with us that you would like us to hold the coin while you do your research.

Please also note that these are just some selections from the vast inventory of really great rare coins we have to offer. If you do not see what you are looking for on our website, send us an email or give us a call, because if it's a really rare coin, chances are we have a lead on one for you or have it in the safe!

Please contact me as soon as possible, as this is a very healthy rare coin market.

Don't hesitate to share your Want List items; we are adept at filling them, and we're discreet.
