Early Gold 1801 Draped Bust $10 NGC MS61 - $32,500.00
This early date, Mint State 1801 Gold Eagle has a strong strike and subdued mint luster in protected areas. Full details are present in the centers of the obverse stars, Libertys hair, the upper part of the shield, most of the stars above the eagle, and the clouds. The dentils are full on both sides. This 1801 Gold Eagle coin is a pleasant greenish-yellow gold with a couple of reverse toning spots, mentioned merely for the sake of accuracy. The surfaces of this 1801 Gold Eagle are completely original with a few, small abrasion marks, in keeping with the grade. None is particularly notable or worthy of individual description. Although often prominent in this series,
there are no adjustment marks on this 1801 Gold Eagle piece.
