This colorful 1878 Three Dollar Gold coin has an above
average strike and bright mint luster in protected areas of both sides. The piece has full details on the ends of Liberty's
feathers, on the two middle numerals of the date, and the elements of the wreath. As expected, there is no wear on this Mint
State piece, and the surfaces are original and clean for the grade. The scuff marks on the lower reverse are on the holder
not the coin.
